    frezzing font size

When creating web pages, Is there a way to freez font size so that when using IE7 or one of the other browsers the font size cannot be changed by going to VIEW font size and change it from lets say medium to larger or smaller. Also to maintain the formatting of the text lines that is centered or what ever.

    Re: frezzing font size

    Hi Charles6,

    Welcome to the forums! Smile

There is really no universal way to do this. There are some browsers that will allow people to resize text no matter what you do. In some instances of IE you can have text sized in pixels (px) and people will not be able to resize then. (Doesn't hold true though for other browsers like Mozilla and Opera) Honestly though this is not a good thing to do for a lot of reasons. It is considered best practices to not attempt to control the way people use their browsers with regards to freezing text..many people who are visually impaired need to be able to resize text (usually up) Generally speaking using relative text sizes in .css is the best way..done carefully this will still allow people to resize text and not break the page design you have.
