    Please help a newbie!!

I just downloaded the trial version of Expression Web and downloaded a very complex web template that is WE compatible. However here is my problem: I cannot find the "design" button so that I can go in and change content. Believe me I've looked everywhere and searched all help files, and the help files says to go to the design button but I don't have one on my trial version. What am I missing here? The only buttons located at the bottom of the page is: Folders/Remote Web Site/Reports/Hyperlinks. There is no "design" button anywhere. I've even tried double clicking on the pages in the left hand side of the task pane as well as trying to drag and drop it into the Web pane. None of these pages will open for editing and I'm sure it's something simple but I'm missing it somewhere.  Please help!!

Here is the website I'm trying to configure: http://www.decoratetosellhomes.com

    Hi Keli,

    Welcome to the forums! Smile

A problem that many people have reported with Expression Trial behaving strangely is that they have not rebooted their computer after the download and before using it. If you haven't done that please try doing a full cold start reboot and see if any of that clears it up for you.

If that doesn't help or you have already done it..please let us know and maybe there is something else we can try.

I suspect you are trying to edit a locked region and you can only edit those in the DWT itself. If you are seeing a little circle with a line through it mouse cursor that is what is happening. As templates go that is not a very complex one but I would suggest that you view and perhaps work along with the Basic Website Video at http://by-expression.com/content/tutorials.aspx before you start trying to edit your template. Since that video ends with creating a DWT you should be able to edit your template once you have finised the tutorial (video length approximately 1:20)
